LADIES 2012

The Monday and Tuesday ladies golf groups at Rock Chapel are perfect if you are looking for a regular round of golf with other ladies to enjoy a relaxed, fun outing in a non-competitive atmosphere. New ladies are always welcome whether you want to join by yourself or with a friend or two. Only basic golf skills needed. Open to all. The #1 concern for newcomers is always, "Will I be good enough?". Please don't be worried. After the first week, past newcomers realized they worried for nothing and had a wonderful time! Fun and social is what we are all about.

The morning and evening ladies social golf groups are very popular. Registration will begin once we open in the spring. Space is limited to 36 spots in each group and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

We have three groups that play once a week starting the 2nd week of May 2012. See the registration form link below for specific dates/times.

Our Monday morning group has tee times from 8:30am to 9:50am. This group is perfect for ladies who prefer to golf a little earlier. The cost is also less because the group won't be playing on the 3 holiday Mondays during the season (May long weekend, August Civic holiday, Labour Day). The Tuesday morning group has tee times from 9:20am-10:40am. Both morning groups consist of mostly retired ladies although a number of younger women enjoy the group as well. The morning groups will run until the last week of September 2012.

With the morning groups, each week you can book a tee time within the general times mentioned above depending what works for your schedule. For convenience, you can book for the following week when you come in to play or you can call in up to 7 days in advance. Tee times are filled on a first-come, first-served basis each week from earliest to latest. Singles, twosomes and threesomes will be paired up where possible to make foursomes but always with other ladies from the group.

Many of the morning ladies stop in the Cafe after their round to enjoy a coffee or tea, a selection from the fresh baked goods or lunch specials. It is a lovely time to socialize and catch up with ladies in the other foursomes. On the last day, we will host an appreciation lunch for all the ladies. There is no extra cost for this lunch.

The Tuesday evening tee times are from 5:10pm-6:30pm which is mostly working ladies. This group will play from Tuesday, May 8th to September 4th, 2012. It ends a little earlier in the season due the shorter daylight in the fall. The Cafe stays open late on Tuesdays for dinner/drinks after the round. It's always a fun time. Summer evenings on the patio are beautiful. On the last day, we will host an appreciation dinner for the group at no extra cost.

Since most of the Tuesday evening group are working women that have a range of times they are able to get to Rock Chapel after work, we work out a schedule of tee times that accommodates that with some possible changes the first couple of weeks to tweek the times to everyones liking. Singles, twosomes and threesomes will be paired up where possible to make foursomes but always with other ladies from the group. The benefit of joining this group is that even if others you may join with can't make it one week, we will pair you up with another group of ladies that particular evening. Everyone gets to know each other at the first tee and all the ladies are comfortable and enjoy golfing with others from the group from time to time. It's part of the fun!
